Viruses, bacteria and many other microorganisms are everywhere. As a chiropractor, I was required to take Microbiology in chiropractic college. My professor was extremely proud of his extensive slide collection and was quite entertained by our gasps each time we were introduced to another one of our little neighbors.
After meeting my new microscopic neighbors I felt like I was always being watched and never alone. I changed the kitchen dishrag multiple times a day and I was obsessively cleaning and wiping things down all the time.
My new obsession with germs even caused a few nightmares, but over time I allowed them to live in peace in the germ neighborhoods that surrounded me.
These little critters had always been there…
now I was totally aware of their presence.
